Destination violinist FAQ

Yes. Matt Dendy is a Sarasota-based traveling violinist who regularly performs at destination weddings, corporate retreats, and private events across Florida and out of state, including the Caribbean, Mexico, and resort destinations along the East Coast. Travel, lodging, and instrument transport are quoted per event.

Most travel bookings fall along the Florida Gulf Coast (Tampa, St. Pete, Naples, Marco Island, the Keys) and Atlantic coast (Palm Beach, Miami, Amelia Island). Out-of-state and international destination weddings are accepted with adequate lead time, typically 60+ days for international.

Pricing is the performance fee plus travel: round-trip airfare or mileage, two to three nights of lodging depending on the schedule, ground transport, and a per-diem. Matt provides a single, all-in quote so couples and planners can budget cleanly with no surprise add-ons.

Both. Solo acoustic and electric violin are the most travel-friendly options. For larger destination receptions, Matt can build a travel ensemble (violin + DJ, violin + cellist, or violin + acoustic guitar) coordinated end-to-end.

Six to twelve months is ideal for destination weddings, especially during peak Florida season (October–May). Shorter timelines are possible for domestic travel, international bookings need at least 60 days for travel logistics and instrument paperwork.

Yes. Matt travels with his own acoustic and electric violins, in-ear monitoring, and a battery-powered amp for outdoor ceremonies. Only a power source (or fully battery-powered setup for beach ceremonies) is required on site.
